Please join us for our annual benefit, an evening of connection, generosity, and community support. The night will include a silent auction featuring items generously donated by local businesses.
This year has brought new challenges for families in our community, and more neighbors than ever are relying on local food pantries. The recent closure of one of our neighborhood’s largest pantries has made coming together even more important.
We hope you’ll be part of this special evening.
Our small but mighty Brooklyn-based food pantry partners with generous friends and local businesses to provide weekly food distributions to over 175 local families.
We also keep our Little Red Food Box outside the Vinegar Hill Community Garden stocked daily, for anyone who needs it at no charge.

The story behind VHFP
Founded during the COVID lockdown of 2020 by Jennnifer Macksoud, we work to mitigate and minimize food insecurity in Vinegar Hill and nearby neighborhoods.
Today, we’ve grown from the back seat of Jennifer’s car to a devoted team of volunteers and achieved official non-profit status, allowing us to accommodate grants and donations to support and sustain our ever-expanding mission to love, and feed, our Brooklyn community.
